Last Thursday we bid farewell to Alma Sidgurdsson, our exchange student from Sweden.
While she will still be in the Country until July 14th, her USA trip with the other exchange students from around the United States will keep her busy until her departure.  We enjoyed her great spirit and the fact that she was simply always having such a good time.  It did not seem to matter whether it was being in the production of Legally Blonde, the Chorus or her numerous sports activities.  She seems to have left quite an impression and made a number of good friends here in Pagosa Springs.  During her farewell presentation, one of the funny things she said was that her favorite American food was Mexican!  She also found it surprising how unhealthy our American diet is with so much 'fast food' and how competitive sports are.  As we wish Alma all our best and send her home to Sweden, we look forward to the arrival of our next student; Leo, who will be joining us in August from Berlin, Germany.  Lisa Scott is excited to welcome Granton Bartz to her committee as Counselor for this upcoming student.
