The Pagosa Springs Rotary Club, leveraging funds with the District 5470 and Rotary International, is pleased to announce the delivery of 48 special wheelchairs for children and adolescents in Argentina and the republic of Paraguay who have neurological disabilities that prevent their mobility.

On October 31, we received notice from Luis Schattner (the project primary contact at Formosa-9 de Julio Rotary Club in Argentina) that 40 special wheelchairs had been delivered and just this week he sent notice that the remaining 8 special wheelchairs had been delivered.
Luis wrote the following. “This donation (of wheelchairs) was made in a very emotional ceremony in which school officials and the Ministry of Education thanked Rotary and our The Rotary Foundation.

Remember that these chairs allow 4-12 year old children with neurological disability, mostly cerebral palsy, to begin integrating to the world, regaining their ability to move not only at home but mainly at school, which teaches them to share, integrates and recover part of their lives. On behalf of all members of our RC 9th of July Formosa, I ask you to transmit to your Club our thankfulness for your assistance so that this could be achieved.”

WE at Pagosa Springs Rotary Club can be proud of supporting another successful project that helps those in need across the globe.
