Salvation Army Bell Ringing

Bell ringing typically starts the week of Thanksgiving and goes through Christmas Eve. The Chairs of this committee prepare schedules and provide sign-up sheets for volunteers to ‘ring the bell’ in 1 hour shifts. A generous community makes this work a joy. The Co-Chairs, call to remind the volunteers and arrange folks to deliver and pick up the kettle at the end of each session, count and turn in the money and coordinate with other groups doing the same service at different times. There is discussion about expanding these efforts to two locations if the volunteers are available.
