Don’t miss out on the opportunity to attend one of the most prestigious youth leadership programs in the area! Deadline to submit your application to the RYLA program is April 19, 2024 at 6:00 P.M.

RYLA is a workshop organized and sponsored by the Rotary Club of Pagosa Springs for future leaders in Pagosa Springs currently in grades 10 and 11. This year RYLA will be held at the Colorado Mountain College in beautiful Leadville, Colorado from June 13-16.  Transportation will also be provided.

Participants are selected for their leadership potential to attend an all-expense-paid hands-on, experiential program designed to foster and strengthen leadership skills, self-confidence, community building skills and character.

I had the chance to participate in RYLA the summer of 2023 when my local Rotary club selected me out of a pool of applicants to attend the leadership council in Leadville for 5 days. I enjoyed this immensely; the activities, the people, and especially the leadership that was on show there. Many adults and teens portrayed confidence, trustworthiness, and reliability. These leadership qualities made the trip comfortable and educational while still being fun.This opportunity gave me newfound confidence and propelled me to be able to attend the Catholic youth leadership training called LEAD in preparation for Stubenville in Denver, Colorado this upcoming summer— where I will get the opportunity to lead other teens in their journey through faith and community, just as this trip and all of its participants did for me.
