Doug Hershey, Educator and Director of Proud Partners, was our speaker last week.   Proud Partners is a program designed to foster student success through the School to Work Study Program and Career & Technical Education Programs.  Doug also told us about the Teacher Want Ads.  This is a posting of ongoing needs where the teachers post what they need to support their students or classrooms. http://www.mypagosaschools.com and scroll down to the Volunteer Sign-up. Here is a great way to find a way to help the students!  Also, there will be more opportunities with the Community and Students Job Fair in the spring.

Steps:

  1. Find the volunteer opportunity that suits you . (If you would like to help our students, but not volunteer in classes, check teacher’s wish lists in their want -ads for other ways to help.)

  2. Make note of the teacher’s name, the times volunteers are needed and grade level .

  3. Fill out this short form  Volunteer Want Ads Application.

  4. Sometime after the form is submitted, you will be contacted by the teacher to finalize the details .
