Get ready to kick up your heels for a good cause. The Rotary Club of Pagosa Springs is celebrating a decade of dancing, dining, and doing good with its 10th Annual Jewels and Jeans Barn Dance on Saturday, Oct. 18, from 7 to 10 p.m. at the PLPOA Clubhouse, 230 Port Avenue. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.

This beloved community tradition promises an evening filled with country charm and lively fun. Headlining the night is Vanishing Breed, featuring Colorado Country Music Hall of Famer and longtime area favorite Odis Sikes.

Beyond the music, guests can browse an exciting silent auction packed with one-of-a-kind prizes and experiences — from four rounds of golf with a cart at a South Fork golf club and a half-day guided fly-fishing adventure, to a Yeti cooler stuffed with accessories, ski passes for two, a luxurious Ouray getaway with fine dining, and even a horse-drawn wagon ride paired with a two-night stay at a cozy local bed-and-breakfast. Add in restaurant gift cards and local treasures, and there’s something for everyone to bid on.

Hungry dancers won’t be disappointed — one of Pagosa’s favorite food trucks will serve hearty plates of house-smoked brisket and chicken thighs with green chile mac and cheese, coleslaw, and dinner rolls for $20 per plate (sold separately from dance tickets).

The fun continues with contests for “Best Dressed” and “Best Dancer,” plus a cash bar featuring a signature cocktail debut: The Barnstormer. This bold yet refreshing mix of Canadian whisky, peppermint schnapps, dark and white crème de cacao, and a splash of lemon juice is shaken over ice — the perfect toast to a memorable night.

“This event has everything — great food, great music, and great people — all coming together to support a cause that benefits the whole community,” said club president Jenelle Syverson.
