Get Your Boots On: Ninth Annual Jeans and Jewels Barn Dance for a Good Cause!
The Rotary Club of Pagosa Springs invites you to the ninth annual Jeans and Jewels Barn Dance on Saturday, October 12, from 7 p.m. till 10 p.m. in the Archuleta County Extension building at the fairgrounds. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
The Jackson Mountain Ramblers will entertain attendees with country music, line dancing, and vibrant community spirit.
Activities include a cash saloon and a silent auction. An online auction of experiential items runs through September until October 11 at midnight.
All proceeds from this lively event benefit the Pagosa Rotary Community Assistance Fund which supports our college scholarship foundation, the Rotary Youth Exchange bringing foreign exchange students to Pagosa, dictionaries for third graders and awards to send our youth leaders to leadership camps. Since 1983, the scholarship foundation has awarded more than half a million dollars to some 200 local graduates pursuing higher education at college or trade school. The scholarships reflect Rotary’s commitment to empowering our youth and fostering their future success.
Tickets will be available soon!
Tickets for the Barn Dance will be available at the Chamber of Commerce and Exit Realty, or from any friendly Rotarian.
Advance dance tickets are $30; tickets at the door are $35. Chuck wagon dinner tickets are sold separately for an additional $15. Only 150 meals are available, so be sure to purchase your dinner tickets early!
Rotary’s Global Impact
Rotary International connects a global network of over 1.2 million volunteers in more than 200 countries, addressing urgent humanitarian challenges with diverse and impactful projects. The Rotary Club of Pagosa Springs embodies this spirit through a dedicated group of individuals who live by the principle of "Service Above Self," driving both local and international initiatives that foster camaraderie and make a significant difference.
Pagosa Rotary Community Assistance Fund
A cornerstone of our community service is the Pagosa Rotary Community Assistance Fund, a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization focused on enhancing life in Archuleta County.
In 2023 alone, we allocated over $56,000 to essential projects such as the Rotary’s Dictionary Project, Pagosa Outreach Connection, local scholarships, the Rotary Youth Exchange, and community grants. These efforts showcase our adherence to Rotary’s values of "Service Above Self" and the "Four-Way Test," ensuring our actions are truthful, fair, build goodwill, and benefit all.
