Service Projects - CAF - Salvation Army Bell Ringing

Our club has participated in bell ringing for Salvation Army for 17+ years in Pagosa Springs. Our club, along with the evening club, volunteer more days than any other group. As many of you know, Salvation Army is one of the few charitable organizations that use more than 90% of monies raised towards worthy causes, and it stays local. It is so heart-warming to be a part of the generosity of the community and visitors during the bell ringing season. And it’s fun! It’s a great opportunity to include friends and family, pets, music, or simply ring solo and greet everyone as they come and go from City Market. The season typically begins the Friday after Thanksgiving and ends on Christmas Eve, which Rotary has historically taken the last day. I start circulating the sign-up sheet usually the first Thursday in November.
