Make a difference
When you give to Rotary, you support the work we do in our community and around the world. Through the generosity of people like you, our work has made a difference in the lives of millions around the world.
Your contribution is about so much more than its dollar value; it signifies that you share our commitment to serving the community and having fun while doing it.
Rest assured, every dollar we raise goes directly to scholarships and community projects, with no overhead or administrative costs.
Thank you once again for your generosity and trust in our mission. Together, we are making a difference in the lives of many.
Where do our donations go?
Our club takes immense pride in supporting local students through scholarships. Since 1982, we have awarded $540,125 in scholarships to 197 graduating seniors pursuing college and vocational education. Currently, we are honored to be supporting eight Pagosa Springs college students, tracking their academic progress to ensure that your contributions are making a meaningful impact on their educational journeys.
In addition to scholarships, we also prioritize supporting our local teachers. Through our teacher mini-grants program, we provided $4,000 last year to fund 11 specific classroom projects from preschool through 12th grade.
Thanks to your generosity, we also continued our long-standing tradition of providing beautifully illustrated, hardback dictionaries to over 100 third graders, helping to ignite a love for learning in our young students.
We are thrilled to announce that our Rotary Youth Exchange program is back in full swing! This initiative promotes peace and understanding by offering life-changing opportunities to young people. In August 2022, we welcomed Agustin Perez Leal, a high school junior from Las Grutas, Argentina, and in August 2023, we hosted Charlotte Duranton from Annonay, France. Just recently, we welcomed Tommaso “Tommy” Nigro from Italy. Since 1991, the Pagosa Springs Rotary Clubs have proudly participated in this international program, selecting students through a rigorous application and interview process.
